One of the most brilliant comic artists is gone. Jean Giraud, aka Moebius, has passed away on March 10th.
From western to science fiction, not only has he offered his talent and vivid imagination to millions of happy readers around the world, but he also inspired a lot of artists, and sometimes collaborated with them. He is also one of the founders of the comic magazine Métal Hurlant.
Among many other works of art, The Long Tomorrow, written by Dan O’Bannon, and drawn by Moebius, is said to be the original cyberpunk comic.
However, just like in a science fiction story he would have created, the perfect epitaph was written a long time before his passing away, by one of his greatest fans. In every sense of the word:

Moebius leaves us with a fantastic universe to explore, and will, without any doubt, continue to inspire generations of creators.
